Stress and Success

Spread the love

What is stress? Is it a good thing? Is it a bad thing? How does it influence our decisions and actions? Do stress and success actually relate?

Definitions

How do I know if I’m stressed, overwhelmed or just excited? I usually assess my functionability when I notice my productivity is hindered. I look at two things: my judgment and my decision making. If my judgement feels imbalanced and I feel paralyzed or unable to make decisions, I automatically check my vitals. I go through my emotions and thought process to find the cause.

Stress can be motivating, or paralyzing. But it can be a good thing if you use it to improve your performance and achieve your goals. This is why it’s a great skill to have when you learn how to turn stress into a positive.

Stress and success

Stress and success can go hand in hand. How well you can manage stress can determine how successful you can be. You can turn stress into something that works for you, rather than against you. Short-term stress or excitement can actually be beneficial.

Stress and success

I’m sure you heard the phrase get comfortable with the uncomfortable. But the reality is if you are in an uncomfortable situation, you will not be able to fully function and be productive. You may not even be able to barely focus or concentrate on anything that you do or experience in life.

This is why it is important to understand your feelings and process your emotions on daily basis. Practicing this will help you recognize the signs of bad stress right away. And you will be able to resolve such situations as they come.

If your discomfort is caused by a specific belief that doesn’t align with what you need to do, change must happen. Because you will either quit what you are doing or change your belief. That depends on your priorities There’s no right or wrong here. There’s your peace and happiness and what you are willing to do or sacrifice for what you believe in and desire. Sometimes, you can manage your stress by changing your perspective on stressors and how you react to them. When you can’t change a situation try to change your perception.

change from within

Changing your perspective, mental and physical reaction to stressful situations, will help you get further in life. Judgment skills, critical and analytical thinking, make better decisions faster, and overall lead an easier and happier life.

Embracing stress can definitely improve your ability. Rather than trying to avoid stressful or anxious feelings, you can use the stress energy to motivate you to resolve any challenges life throughs at you. Same with any tasks you need to complete to reach a certain goal. Short term or positive stress can help you learn and grow. It can help improve performance and increase productivity. You just need to learn how to harness it.

Develop self-confidence, and assurance. Have compassion towards yourselves and others. Once you do it gets easier to give yourself a break and take a step back to reassess yourself and your situation. Then go back to doing what you need to do.

bad stress

On the other hand, long term-stress or bad stress can cause burnout. It can cause fogginess and confusion. When this happens, talk to friends and family about what you are going through. Look for help, someone who could relieve some of the stress you are feeling.

You may not be able to solve all of your problems, but you will at least have a breather. And begin to plan your way out of a bad situation. Stressful situations can cause your brain to check out. Do not allow that to happen to you. Choose yourself and win your life.
