RELATIONSHIPS AND MARRIAGE

Marriage! What is it good for?

Spread the love

Marriage! What is it good for? Why should you come home and see him or her every single day? Experience the same day over and over, much like in Groundhog Day. Giving detailed reports of my daily activities. What did I say, see and do! It is torment to be living together. Isn’t it so?

trials and tribulations

Couples quarrel, argue, they fight, and sometimes they even try to get rid of each other. Poison or kill. Breakups occur, scandals arise, and assets are contested throughout their whole lives. They take revenge. People do not want to live with each other. Seems like marriage is so unnatural to us.

But why did people live in a family? Why even marriage existed? Let’s rewind. Resources were low. There were no stores where you could get your needs. No pick-up or delivery service. There was one house. Grandfather, grandmother, sons, their wives and children lived there. There was nowhere else to live. And naturally, the brother was ashamed in front of his brother that he was leaving his wife. In front of his parents. And in front of his children. In essence, much like today, it is often guilt and shame that prevent most individuals from leaving.

the bare truth about marriage

If individuals had the freedom to maintain their own separate living spaces, be it an apartment or a house, it’s likely that 90% of marriages would dissolve. If guilt or shame were removed from the equation, many would choose to leave their relationships immediately.

Only 10% will stay together. Within that 10%, genuine love exists. Those individuals are truly fortunate, as they have found one another.

Therefore, these are the most difficult relationships. And it seems like there’s one perspective for most people and that is loneliness. But don’t fret. Even though, this journey may prove to be the most challenging in your life. Marriage, can serve as a mirror, reflecting our strengths and weaknesses.

a glimmer of hope

Marriage, and long term relationships, offer a chance for individuals to learn patience, empathy, and compromise.

For some, the journey through the trials and tribulations of marriage leads to a renewal of commitment and a deeper appreciation for their partner. These relationships demonstrate resilience and the enduring power of love, reminding us that even in the face of hardship, connection and companionship can conquer.

By embracing open communication, mutual respect, and shared goals, couples can navigate the ups and downs together, emerging stronger and more united.

In this way, marriage can be a source of profound joy and fulfillment, offering a sense of belonging and partnership that enriches both lives. But in order to get there, there’s a lot to be learned first. And a self searching journey has to be taken. Are you ready to start this journey now?
